What does AMP stand for?

Amplitude

The maximum instantaneous value of alternating current or voltage. It can be in either a positive or negative direction. The greatest distance through which an oscillating body moves from the mid point. OR A measure of floor vibration. It is the magnitude or total distance traveled by each oscillation of the vibration. OR A measurement of the distance from highest to lowest excursion of a variable or physical motion. Often used with reference to waveforms.
