The BAMSE (Children, Allergy, Milieu, Stockholm, Epidemiology) research is a population-based longitudinal prospective birth cohort that includes 4,089 children born in Stockholm, Sweden between 1994 and 1996. The cohort was created with the goal of studying risk factors for asthma, allergic illnesses, and lung function in children, as well as variables that are important for prognosis in people who have already been diagnosed with a disease.
