BTL. Describes marketing which has a short-term duration, such as non-media advertising, direct-mail, e-mail, exhibitions, incentives, brochures, etc., which is targeted directly at the consumer/customer. Often used by companies on a limited budget.

Used in audio applications, the load is connected between two audio amplifier outputs. This can double the voltage swing at the speaker, compared to a speaker that is connected to ground. The ground-tied speaker can have a swing from zero to the amplifier's supply voltage.
