The Chemical Engineering Plant Cost Index (CEPCI) is used by many process engineering projects to keep track of their capital costs. Usually, you need twenty or so parameters to predict it.
Chemical plant cost indexes, which take into account changes in the value of money brought on by inflation and deflation, are dimensionless numbers used to update the capital costs necessary to build a chemical plant from a previous date to a future one. Cost indices are useful for a number of management tasks, including long-term planning, budgeting, and escalating or de-escalating contract costs, as there are never enough chemical plants to employ in a preliminary or predesign estimate at any particular moment.
The Government of India founded the Cashew Export Promotion Council of India (CEPC or CEPCI) in 1955 with the active assistance of the cashew industry with the goal of boosting exports of cashew kernels and cashew nut shell liquid from India. Its main office is located in Mundakkal, a district of Kollam, Kerala.
