What does COP26 stand for?

Conference of the Parties 26th

The United Kingdom, in collaboration with Italy, will host the UNFCCC's twenty-sixth session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 26). The conference will bring together parties to accelerate progress toward the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change objectives. For twelve days of discussions, approximately 190 global leaders will be there, together with tens of thousands of negotiators, government officials, companies, and individuals.
