Color Vision

Color vision in medicine refers to the ability of the eyes to distinguish different colors in the visible spectrum. The human eye has specialized cells called cones, which are responsible for color vision. There are three types of cones, each of which is most sensitive to a specific range of wavelengths of light corresponding to red, green, or blue colors. By comparing the signals from these cones, the brain is able to interpret and distinguish different colors.
