Differential Pressure

In an orifice meter, the difference between the pressures on the upstream and downstream sides of the orifice; also describes the pressure drop across a filter that increases as the filter clogs. The value or magnitude of pressure measured as the absolute difference of the inlet pressure and outlet pressure. The difference in pressure between two points of a system, such as between the inlet and outlet of a pump.
