Atomic mass is not measured in pounds or grams. Scientists used something called Daltons. One Dalton is equal to one-twelfth the mass of a carbon atom. Scientists also call a Dalton an Atomic Mass Unit.  A unit of mass equivalent to the mass of a hydrogen atom (1.66 x 10-24 g). A unit of mass very nearly equal to that of a hydrogen ion and precisely equal to 1.000 on the atomic mass scale. The weight of a single hydrogen atom (1.66 x 10 -24g).

Domoic Acid

Domoic acid is a kainic acid analog neurotoxin that causes amnesic shellfish poisoning (ASP). It is produced by algae and accumulates in shellfish, sardines, and anchovies. When sea lions, otters, cetaceans, humans etc., then eat contaminated animals poisoning may result. Exposure to the biotoxin affects the brain, causing seizures, and possibly death.
