Eastern Anatolia Development Agency (DAKA) was established with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 22.11.2008 and numbered 2008/14306, based on the “Law on the Establishment, Coordination and Duties of Development Agencies” dated 25.01.2006 and numbered 5449.
In DAKA, Bitlis, Hakkari, Muş and Van (TRB2) provinces, to develop cooperation between the public sector, private sector and non-governmental organizations, to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources in the region and to activate local potential, and to develop a policy in line with the principles and policies envisaged in national development plans and programs. It is an institution that operates to accelerate regional development, to ensure the sustainability of regional development and to reduce inter-regional and intra-regional development differences.
