Disk images can be created from both hard disks and optical media, such as CDs and DVDs.
- Destructive Interference The complete out-of-phase interaction of photons, that is, their collision in such a way that their intensities cancel. In x-ray crystallography, destructive interference of x-ray photons causes areas without spots (reflections) in the diffraction pattern.
