About Egyptology Abbreviations

Ancient Egypt (or Ancient Egypt) is one of the civilizations in Antiquity. It is an ancient civilization spread around the halfway point where the Nile River reaches the sea in northeastern Africa. These ancient Egyptian abbreviations appear on this page.

The region where civilization spread is located within the territory of today's Egypt. Before its foundation around 3,050 BC, it was divided into "Lower Egypt" and "Upper Egypt". The civilization politically united Lower Egypt and Upper Egypt under the rule of the first pharaoh in 3,150 BC. This political unity lasted for the next 3,000 years.
