Gain

The amount of amplification accomplished by an amplifier circuit. For instance, a gain of 2 would mean the output is scaled to twice the amplitude of the input. A measure of amplification of a device, usually expressed in dB. Tthe measure of the ability of two port circuit to increase the power of a signals from input to output port. Usually a term associated with gyros, it describes the sensitivity of the gyro.
