Made Cut Did Not Finish

MDF (Made Cut but Did Not Finish) refers to a player who qualified for the final rounds of a tournament but was unable to complete all scheduled holes. This status is commonly used in professional golf events where a secondary cut is applied after the third round or when a golfer withdraws due to injury, personal reasons, or adverse conditions after making the initial cut.

MDF often occurs when:

- A second cut reduces the field after the third round.

- A player withdraws mid-event despite making the cut.

- Weather conditions shorten the tournament, preventing completion.
