Degree of heat intensity, measured by means of a thermometer. The scales currently used are those of Celsius (in Europe) and Farenheit (Anglo-Saxon countries). The unit of measure is the degree (ºC for the degree Celsius, ºF for the degree Farenheit). For converting degrees Fahrenheit (F) to degrees Celsius, or centigrade, (C), and conversely, the formulas can be used: C = 5 (F-32) / 9 and F = 9C / 5 + 32.
