TPCT stands for various terms. Discover the full forms, meanings, and possible interpretations of TPCT across different fields and industries.
A two-phase closed thermosyphon (TPCT) is a type of heat pipe that uses the natural circulation of a working fluid to transfer heat from one point to another. It consists of a closed, sealed container that is partially filled with a working fluid, such as water or a refrigerant.
The TPCT operates on the principle that when heat is applied to one end of the container, the working fluid at that end is vaporized, creating a pressure difference that causes the vapor to flow towards the cooler end of the container. As the vapor reaches the cooler end, it condenses back into a liquid, releasing the heat it absorbed during the vaporization phase.
