Triple Point

A temperature point at which a substance can be either a solid, liquid, or gas. Many compounds have triple points at very specific temperatures and pressures. A point in a phase diagram where the three states of matter are in equilibrium. The intersection of the boundaries of three adjoining grains, as observed in a section. A point on a phase diagram where three phases of a substance coexist in equilibrium.
