Vapor

A gas, particularly one near to equilibrium with the liquid phase of the substance and which does not follow the gas laws. Usually used instead of gas for a refrigerant, and, in general, for any gas below the critical temperature. The gaseous phase of substances that are liquid or solid at atmospheric pressure (e.g., steam). Another name for a gas. A vapor is closely related to a gas.
