The angle of the aircraft's heading relative to the vertical axis and generally controlled by the pilot using the rudder and in which stability is provided by the fixed or nonmovable fin. Movement of an aircraft about its vertical axis, representing movement of its tail unit to port or starboard, to change the aircraft's heading.
