An anchor bolt is a specialized bolt used to attach items to hard surfaces such as concrete, asphalt, brick or stone. Anchor bolts are made up of a threaded end that is turned into the surface of interest and a washer and nut used to carry the load on the bolt. Anchor bolts come in many shapes, sizes, and materials depending on the application and the load requirements.
